City guide

Las Vegas

24-hour bars on the Fruit Loop, a night parade downtown in October, and softball all year.

Gay Las Vegas is mostly off the Strip. The bars bunch up on the Fruit Loop, a few blocks of Paradise Road and Naples Drive near UNLV and the airport, with more a block north on Twain Avenue. Badlands holds down the Commercial Center on East Sahara. Several of the bars never close. By day, The Center on Maryland Parkway near downtown runs the clinic and most of the community groups.

Neighborhoods

The Fruit Loop (Midtown UNLV)

$$

A block north of the Loop: FLEX and Fun Hog Ranch share a parking lot, and both stay open around the clock.

Commercial Center (East Sahara)

$

An older shopping center east of the Strip, and the longtime gay alternative to the Loop, anchored by Badlands Saloon.

Downtown and Maryland Parkway

$$

The Center is at 401 S Maryland Pkwy, and the Pride night parade runs up 4th St downtown.

Henderson

$$–$$$

The suburb southeast of the city, with its own LGBTQ+ center and its own Pride events each spring.

This week in Las Vegas

Tomorrow Thu, Oct 22

Monday Oct 26

The whole week, day by day, including the quiet days.

Dates are in Las Vegas time. Times are as each group lists them, monthly groups show only on the day they meet, and seasonal leagues play only in season, so check the group's site before you go. Nobody pays to be listed.

Pride & big events

Las Vegas Pride is in October (2027 dates TBA). In 2026 the night parade ran downtown on Friday, Oct 9, with the main stage at 4th St and Bridger Ave, and the festival was Saturday, Oct 17, at the Desert Breeze Events Center. Henderson has its own Pride events in spring (2026: May 2 at Water Street Plaza and June 13 at Sunset Park).

First time going? Your first Pride covers going solo, what to bring, heat and crowds.

Moving tips

  • The Fruit Loop is a short rideshare from the Strip and the airport. Walk between Piranha, Gipsy and QUADZ, and the Twain Ave bars are a block north.
  • The Deuce bus runs the Strip: $4 a ride, $6 for two hours or $8 for 24 hours (RTC has proposed new fares from January 2027, so check before you buy a pass).
  • Summer heat is no joke: the normal July high is 104.5°F, and it hit 120°F in July 2024. Carry water, and plan pool days and patios for spring and fall.
  • Several gay bars never close (FLEX, The Garage, Fun Hog Ranch, Badlands and QUADZ list 24/7 hours), so there's always somewhere to go after a show.
  • Coming for the Sin City Classic (Jan 14–18, 2027)? It's a big January weekend, so book your room early.
