Hell's Kitchen, Chelsea, the Village and beyond: 24 Manhattan gay bars that are open right now, what each is like and when to go.
Last checked October 2026. Things change: confirm schedules and prices before you go.
How a night in Manhattan works
After work (5–8 pm): Hell's Kitchen 2-for-1s. Industry, Boxers HK and Flaming Saddles fill up fast.
Dinner, then a lounge: Atlas Social Club or VERS for a date, Marie's Crisis if you want to sing.
Late: HUSH, The Ritz or g Lounge to dance; the East Village (The Cock, Phoenix) for the after-midnight crowd.
Sunday: drag brunch at Rise, then Beer Blast at the Eagle.
Venues change fast. We checked each one against 2025–26 sources in October 2026. Spot something wrong? Post in /b/nyc.
