The basics
- Best season: roughly October to May. Summer is extremely hot.
- Getting there: Palm Springs International (PSP) is minutes from downtown, with nonstops to about 30 cities. LA is about two hours by car without traffic.
- Men's resorts: Palm Springs is known for gay men-only, 21+, clothing-optional pool resorts. CCBC Resort Hotel in Cathedral City calls itself the largest in California (bring a physical photo ID).
Nightlife
Bars cluster on Arenas Road downtown: Hunters (302 E Arenas Rd, 10 am–2 am) and Chill Bar (217 E Arenas Rd, Sunday tea dance) are both going strong. Ask in /b/elsewhere for what's hot this season.
Events
- Greater Palm Springs Pride is in early November (Nov 6–8, 2026, the 40th).
- White Party was cancelled for 2025 and didn't return in 2026. Don't plan an Easter trip around it until there are real dates.
